Does it really matter?

So, I have not ranted in a while. It's 2 am. I have an 8.30 am class (which looks like I'm not going to be attending). But my answers for many questions have been answered by that question and I think it's such a good answer. I don't understand why being indifferent is such a pain in the ass for some people. If I'm indifferent, what does it matter? You should be happy because I don't give a fuck.

Seattle.

My little welcome note to the land that is essentially Vancouver but called under a different name: Seattle. I don't know why but I loved it in Seattle. It's so much Vancouver in so many ways but it wasn't. And I loved being there. Maybe because I was in the land of Oppurtunities (with a capital O)? Or because I was just being biased since I was a tourist and I only looked at the nice stuff? Oh well...Picture time..

We ate here and you can see. It's a pretty famous place right in the heart of downtown Seattle. It looks very posh on the inside. We were too full from the binge eating everywhere we were at and we just decided to order appetizers.

Some artichoke hearts I believe? And a lil sauce on the side to go along with it.

I assure you that it may look disgusting but these mushrooms were awesome!
And to top it all off with some Quesadillas
Just a random shot in the chocolate shop where we bought the fudge. Awesome stuff!
And of course, I was at the first Starbucks in the world (although Starbucks was founded in Seattle, it has the most branches in Vancouver currently). It looks very different from other Starbucks, trust me.
Here... I just liked the colours... I'm such a sucker for colours. They look so pretty.
These stuff are AWESOME! you so need to try. They taste amazing. Fruit logs are what they are called and it's just so nice.
This is where all the stalls are at. Pike Place Market. Nice little place. You get to see fish fly about above your heads. Now how can you say no to that?
And this.... I just loved the monotonous-ness. Haha. It's one of the floors in the Public Library. Each floor has a colour and the ladies was on this floor so the minute you get off a white elevator, you see this. Pretty awesome eh?



So now that is Seattle is finally done, Olympics part I will be out very shortly.

Random thoughts

There is just something about just sitting on the bathroom floor and getting rained on. I think the only reason I stopped continuing to sit listening to water shower down on me was because I almost depleted the hot water supply. Not good at all.

It has been some years since I had a déjà vu. I miss that feeling of "I think I saw this happen before." I used to have it quite often. And now... *zilch*

There is something wrong with commitment: you have to commit.

I need a drink.

I thought that by this time this year, I would have found out what I wanted to do with my life. I guess I haven't. I went to university thinking that I'd figure it out. Sooner or later at least but I just don't know what I want. I don't particularly like Business but my major seems to be that at the moment.

As a kid, I wanted to be an artist but I always drew so many marine mammals that I soon developed a liking for becoming a Marine Biologist. That stuck with me for quite some time until we started learning Biology in school. Then, I wanted to be a doctor (who didn't?). But that would take about my whole life and I became restless, so I decided to be something else but I just didn't know what.

So now, I'm pretty much at nowhere. At least as a kid, I had a rough idea of something but now I just don't have anything. I seem so comfortable at my life right now that I just don't have the urge to think about my future. If 2012 is right, I don't have to think about the future at all. Haha.

A few people have asked me what my new year resolutions were for 2010. I really did not have any. I don't exactly believe in them. But I gues there's a first for everything. There may be a few things I want to do before I kick the bucket but let's hope that I'll live a long, and happy life, okay?

So, by the end of 2010,

1. I'd have worked for the Winter Olympics.
2. I hope to save enough to go home
3. And also to travel to Australia to see some friends in Melbourne and Sydney(maybe)
4. Get a "good enough" DSLR camera that I can bring around with me =)
5. Get even better grades to hopefully get a scholarship
6. I'd want to start baking again
7. Hiked up Grouse Mountain maybe once a week once the summer begins
8. Travelled down to Seattle =)
9. Moved in with my brother since he's coming soon!
10. Lost the weight I gained from eating all the good food from home (only to gain it all again when I go home again)

I do have more crazy ones but I guess I have to wait and see whether I can do all that...

The Fear

I think that's what holds us back.
Having a conscience that tells you right from wrong.
What if we screwed that conscience and decided that from now on, I'll do what I like.
What kind of world would we live in, eh?
Probably the kind that doesn't care but, there's no stopping us then now is there?

I do have one fear though.
Sometimes I wonder what if I sleep now and never get up?
What if I get hit by a bus?
What if I slip on ice and crash into some killer rose bushes.
Okay, strike that last one off.
The fact that we cannot know when it could happen...
Being totally helpless...


Where would I be then?

Sweet disposition

I just came back a few hours ago from the Vancouver International Airport and I felt relieved to finally put my 2 feet on the ground after hours and hours of non-stop flights but right now, I'm missing home again. I feel like I didn't even go for a holiday...

School is in a couple of hours and I wonder how I'm going to pay attention when my head is elsewhere. I ate for 2 or maybe even 3 people when I was there. I was stuffed. And I dread going to the gym tomorrow. I need to go grovery shopping too. The sun goes down so early here now.

Hmm... Reality bites hard, doesn't it?
