Having a bad day?

Ever had one of those days where you just feel like giving your two cents worth and saying "UP YOURS, MAN! to the world just because things didn't go your way. I'm pretty sure we all had one of those days. Yeah, I know it sucks but sometimes, these little - or even big - annoying things are the very lessons in life that make you a better person. I know your'e probably thinking "What the hell is she going on about?" and "Don't get all inspirational on me!" but I read this mail - a really long ago mail - because I'm trying to clear up mails which I have not read since god only knows when. "I get lazy to read my mails. Bluek!" Anyway, it was about how some people were lucky to be alive from 9/11 - "I know...Why do you think I'm clearing up my mail?" - for having to do "one of those annoying things":

The head of a company survived 9/11 because his son started kindergarten.
Another fellow was alive because it was his turn to bring donuts.
One woman was late because her alarm clock didn't go off in time. (How I wish I could give this excuse when I'm late - "I treasure my life way more than work!...Hahaha")
One was late because of being stuck on the NJ Turnpike because of an auto accident.
One of them missed his bus.
One spilled food on her clothes and had to take time to change.
One's car wouldn't start.
One went back to answer the telephone .
One had a child that dawdled and didn't get ready as soon as he should have.
One couldn't get a taxi.
One man who put on a new pair of shoes that morning, took the various means to get to work but before he got there, he developed a blister on his foot. He stopped at a drugstore to buy a Band-Aid.

This is why they are alive today.

This mail is pretty insightful if you think about it. Youre supposed to feel all appreciative and "I'm gonna live today as if it were my last" kinda thing. But Get ReaLLLL! Who really does that? Unless youre dying of some terminal disease and were told that you had like a few weeks left to live, but by then you would LITERALLY live as if tomorrow were your last. So let's have a moment of silence for those who passed on because of our own doing - "Oh, I don't know - causing global warming that played probably a major role in the earthquakes in China and soon enough the DESTRUCTION of the whole world..."

You've gotta admit to that last bit though. GLOBAL WARMING is kicking the shit out of us. Petrol prices are sky-rocketing. Child labour goes on while we shut both eyes. The clothes, shoes, and probably everything else you wear and own are the products of child labour. Poverty is every-fucking-where! I hate it when politicians or government officials go on to say - especially during pre-election times, "By year 2010, poverty will forever more be eradicated!" Ok, so maybe not exactly in that year or in that way but COME ON! ... Poverty is always going to be there. Life ain't getting easier. It's just getting worse. They'll just be more and more people sky-diving below that poverty line. And you know what... It's our own doing. If people weren't so frggin GREEDY and sincerely cared about making this world a better place, we wouldn't be having any of the above problems. If youre gonna ask me, "What do you suggest we do?" I pretty much as clueless as you are. But I guess, we have to save the environment first for own well being so GO GREEN! Think before you throw. Basically follow what those corny ads tell you to do because this world just might turn out to be a better place to live in if we actually cared...

We are the world...
We are the children...
